Sarajevo International Airport is a participant and sponsor of the 12th Sarajevo Business Forum

    The first day of the 12th Sarajevo Business Forum, the largest business event in the region, ended with exceptional attention from business people, media representatives and political officials.

    As part of the Forum, a panel discussion was held at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža under the title "Solid foundations for sustainable development".

    Under the leadership of Manuela Naessl, head of the BiH office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a panel discussion was held in which the participants presented their expert views on sustainable development.

    The panel was attended by the director of Sarajevo International Airport, Alan Bajić, who said that the concept of sustainable development is directly related to its industrial branch.

    "Airports have the role of supporting sustainable development and at the same time must have a positive and self-sustainable development, while minimizing the negative impact on the environment. Sarajevo Airport strives to find a balance between development, social responsibility and care for the environment. We strive to harmonize those goals and continue to make progress. This is confirmed by the fact that 2022 was our most successful business year. We introduced new business policies and implemented incentive programs, which resulted in a 20% increase in the number of passengers compared to 2019," he said and exclusively announced the establishment of flights to Podgorica and Tirana from Sarajevo.
