Training for employees of Sarajevo International Airport and the Border Police of B&H

    Training for staff on how to handle blind and partially sighted passengers was held at the premises of the Training Centre of Sarajevo International Airport on Tuesday.

    The employees of Traffic and Aviation Services Department, Security Department, Infrastructure Development, Technical Support and Standardization Department, Airport Services Department, the representatives of the Border Police of B&H attended the training as well as the members of the Danova Project Team.

    How to communicate with blind and partially blind persons was presented to the attendees as well as difficulties they face with when they use airplane or some other mode of transportation when travelling and the solutions how to overcome these difficulties were offered.

    The representatives of the Croatian Blind Union were in charge of the training as the partners of the DANOVA Project for Innovative Transportation Services for Blind and Partially Sighted Passengers in Danube Region.

    Also, evaluation/testing of a Pilot Project was carried out as a part of which the representatives of the Croatian Blind Union visited access points for blind and visually impaired persons in the Terminal B building.
