On 6th of May, an airline company Air Cairo launched a scheduled flight route which will as a part of the summer flight schedule connect Sarajevo and Hurghada.
After the landing of the first airplane from Hurghada, a water salute was arranged at Sarajevo International Airport and His Excellency Mr. Sorour, the Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt welcomed and greeted the crew members of Air Cairo. To all outbound passengers, Mr. Sorour wished a safe flight and a pleasant stay in Hurghada, recommending them to visit different locations in Egypt during their stay, Luxor in particular.
It is planned that the scheduled flights to Hurghada operate once per week, i.e. on Fridays until 20 May, and afterwards on Tuesdays all until 28 October, when the summer season also ends.
