A committee chairman of the Tourism Association of Sarajevo Canton Kenan Magoda and a director of Sarajevo International Airport Alan Bajić opened Tourist Info Centre (TIC) at Sarajevo International Airport in the presence of passengers who arrived to Sarajevo on a flight from Vienna and the appropriate presents were shared to welcome them.

''This tourist info centre is a place where the tourists would be kindly welcomed on their way out from the plane and where they would get all requested information about the tourist offer in the city, so that they could spend high-quality time in Sarajevo Canton. We want to be good hosts and provide the best service possible, with the aim of promoting the tourist offer and increasing the tourist traffic. It is very important that we interact with tourists, to discover their wishes, to respond to their requests and as the final outcome to send the best image about our city in different parts of the world.'' – said the chairman Magoda.

''We are pleased that the Tourism Association of Sarajevo Canton opened its Tourist Info Centre and in that manner upgraded the offer of Sarajevo International Airport. It is particularly important to ensure that our numerous tourists, the moment they arrive at SIA, receive the appropriate information about the tourist offer of the city of Sarajevo and the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.'' – said the director Bajić

The first tourist info centre of the Tourism Association of Sarajevo Canton at the airport Sarajevo, which is also the first TIC opened at the airport in the Federation of B&H, is particularly significant in relation to a provision of quality information about tourist attractions, cultural – historical landmarks, outdoor activities and other information that are relevant to tourists, in the aim of developing the positive image of Sarajevo Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal is to make more accessible the tourist offer to tourists who come all over the world, i.e. to provide a direct access to information through digital and print promo material and to facilitate a pleasant and fulfilled stay in Sarajevo Canton. Besides the above mentioned, polling of TIC visitors is planned for the purpose of information gathering in relation to tourists’ interests and expectations, what will be a foundation for launching the activities on adjusting the tourist offer of Sarajevo Canton to the actual needs, all in the aim of development and promotion of services in the tourism.

TIC at the airport Sarajevo will be open every day, and working hours will be adjusted to the winter and the summer flight schedule.
