Sarajevo International Airport celebrated the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth

In this way, Sarajevo International Airport joined other numerous airports across the world, which also broadcast an audio recording of a 3 minute piece of Beethoven’s music (a first movement of the 5th Symphony) via public address system exactly at 2:50 P.M.
The music was accompanied by a short video at the majority of airports. The time was chosen as an association with the 250th anniversary (2:50 P.M.).
The Beethoven Moment is an international cultural event which takes place on the day of the composer’s birth, December 16th and despite uncertainties and pressures imposed by COVID-19 crisis it represents a union of people from different countries.
The Beethoven Moment underlines how interconnected we all are, by celebrating the spirit of human unity and resilience.
