On a session held on 22nd October 2020, the government of the Federation of B&H made a Decision on the abolishment of the air transport development fee until 31st December 2021. The abolishment of this fee should result in lowering the price of airline tickets to the satisfaction of both passengers and airline companies which operate at Sarajevo International Airport.
To be reminded that the aforementioned fee was imposed by the decision of the government of the Federation of B&H in 2005 in the aim of development of civil aviation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it was implemented only for the airline companies which operate at Sarajevo International Airport.
Taking into consideration that aviation industry is one of the economy branches most affected by COVID-19 pandemic; this Decision shall make prerequisites to overcome more smoothly the problems caused by the pandemic.
