Sarajevo International Airport is temporarily closed for commercial air traffic until 1st June 2020, 24:00

On a session held on 30th April 2020, the Council of Ministers of B&H, on a proposal put forward by the Ministry of Security of B&H, made a Decision on Amendments and Supplements to the Decision on temporary closure of borders in the airspace for the transport of passengers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Decision shall remain in force until 1st June 2020 until 24:00, with the possibility for prolongation.

This way, all air carriers which transport passengers in international airspace are prohibited from landing at the airports and taking off from the airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the aim of preventing importing and spreading infectious diseases on the territory of B&H.
Exemptions to the Decision are humanitarian flights, emergency medical transport, and transport for rescue missions, transport of mail and goods, as well as technical flights without disembarkation of passengers, emergency landings and flights for consular repatriation of BH citizens or foreign nationals when leaving the territory of B&H.
