Construction work related to the expansion and upgrading of the existing capacities at Sarajevo International Airport is soon entering a new phase, which will result in the establishment of special routes for the movement of passengers and vehicles after entering the airport circle and passengers will be informed in a timely manner.
When establishing movement routes to the terminal building, particular attention will be paid to the safety of passengers and visitors to Sarajevo International Airport. Also, since Sarajevo International Airport does not have alternative capacities, it is necessary to ensure that the performance of works does not affect the aviation operations, i.e. that there are no delays or possible work interruptions.
Upon completion of the project, the new terminal will have a capacity to serve 2 million passengers a year, i.e. twice the current capacity. This situation is temporary and upon completion of this project, passengers and other users will be provided with a significantly modernized terminal, with modern supporting facilities.
