On 02/13/2020, the news show of the Radio-Television of the Federation of BiH, in report on the working meeting on economic reforms of the EU representatives, policy makers in BiH and key international partners in Bijeljina, broadcast the statement of Ambassador Johann Sattler, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Special Representative of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina of the following content: “In this context, I will give you one specific example, namely Sarajevo International Airport, which is an extremely important resource that you have and is still state-owned. As someone who has had the opportunity to travel a lot through the region, I can tell you that Sarajevo International Airport was once one of the better airports, now it is one of the worst ones with reduced number of passengers and poor services.”

In this regard, it is recalled that Sarajevo International Airport has seen a steady increase in passenger numbers over the past few years and that comparative data, according to all relevant analyzes, show that this growth is one of the largest in the region.
