In 2019, 1,143,680 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, which is 9 percent more than in 2018.
The number of realized air operations is 13,671, while the physical volume of cargo is 2,523,565 kg.
The millionth passenger this year was recorded at the end of October, even a month and a half earlier than in 2018, when the millionth passenger was registered at Sarajevo International Airport for the first time.
Also last year, Sarajevo airport employees served more than 100,000 passengers for the first time, four months in a row.
In the year behind us, two more records were recorded so in the month of June 119,205 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, which is as much as 28 percent more passengers than in the same month in 2018. In July, a record 180,929 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, which is 14 percent more than in 2018 and the largest number of passengers served in one month ever.
All these indicators show that traffic growth, recorded by Sarajevo International Airport over the past few years, will continue in 2020.
