In August 2019 Sarajevo International Airport registered 178.943 passengers, what makes the increase of over 12 per cent in comparison with the same month last year. The figures show that air traffic has continued to rapidly grow what significantly contributes to an overall development of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In August there were 1.710 flights, what makes the increase of 8 per cent in comparison with August last year.
In first 8 (eight) months of this year Sarajevo International Airport had 817.606 passengers in total, what is the 9% growth in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
Given these indicators, Sarajevo International Airport expects the record number of one million of passengers, realized in December 2018, to be achieved by the end of October of early November of the current year.
