First Flybosnia plane landed at Sarajevo International Airport

At Sarajevo International Airport landed the first plane of Flybosnia, first airline with BiH national sign after BH Airlines went out of business. It is the Airbus A 319, called Sarajevo, with 156 seats out of which 12 are in the business class.
This year the airline hired its cabin crew – 20 flight attendants to whom the captain Amir Baralić handed certificates upon finished training.
The airline is in the process of introducing scheduled European routes, including destinations like London, Frankfurt, Rome and Paris, and additional plans to provide flights to Riyadh, especially in peak season.
“In the next 12-18 months we want at least to double the number of flights in Sarajevo and out of Sarajevo. FLYBOSNIA aspires to become a sustainable airline with its main office in Sarajevo that will connect Bosnia and Herzegovina with prominent international destinations via direct flights. We will initially focus on Europe, where we will progressively include London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Moscow, etc.. We also plan seasonal operations to destinations in the Middle East“- said director of FLYBOSNIA Chris Gabriel.
“This is an exceptionally positive story, both for Sarajevo International Airport and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We wish this new carrier which already has hired a lot of BiH citizens, a lot of operations, widening of its network and imminent introduction of the flights to European destinations, as announced“ – said director of Sarajevo International Airport Armin Kajmaković.
The carrier plans to buy another Airbus A319 in order to widen its network of air traffic operations.
Flybosnia is a new, young and dynamic airline, whose aim is to provide its passengers exciting and safe flights and service of top quality. Flybosnia is founded by the representative and director of Al Shiddi group, Ms Nudžejma Skenderović and Mr Sulaiman Abdullah Al Shiddi, the latter being one of major investors from Saudi Arabia in our country.
