Students of the Faculty of Economy Visited the Sarajevo International Airport

The students of the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo visited the Sarajevo International Airport. This was an educational visit during which the students learned about the process of receipt and shipment of airplanes, passengers and commodities through the Airport Management System (AMS).
This system has been developed by the IT and Communication Technology Sector of the Sarajevo International Airport; it has been used by numerous airport employees and it is of exceptional significance to performance of airport operations and activities.
The AMS allows for entry and processing of data necessary for planning and control of airport operations. It presents the data compiled to passengers through external systems via the FIDS (Flight Information Display System) monitors, audio announcements and PA system, via the website () and through mobile applications. The system also enables invoicing and collection for aviation services, statistical surveys and reports. The AMS is a web-based system developed using the top-notch IT technologies available at the moment.
The students have also visited the Operational and the Dispatching Centers, where they learned about the benefits and the features of this system on site.
The Sarajevo International Airport attaches large significance to cooperation with the academic institutions in the country and abroad, and this visit constituted an additional confirmation of commitment towards presentation of experiences in the work of the Sarajevo Airport employees.
