SWISS Airlines Transporting Passengers on the Sarajevo-Zurich-Sarajevo Line in the Top-Notch Bombardier C Series Jet Liner

    The Sarajevo International Airport is proud of the fact that one of the most innovative and most modern airliners on the market, Bombardier C Series, has landed on the local runway today. Namely, as of the today, the Swiss Airlines passengers have the possibility to take this plane when traveling on the Sarajevo-Zurich line; this airplane is known as the “Whispering Jet” in the world of air traffic.
    Thanks to its modern engines, this type of airplane produces double less noise in comparison with similar types of airliners. In addition, this plane provides an additional sense of comfortability; large windows make the cabin look lighter, and the space for storage of personal luggage is much larger. The ergonomic seats also offer lots of comfortability, and there is additional room ensured in between seats. The top-notch cockpit has been developed through cooperation between companies SWISS and Bombardier and is fully adapted to crew needs.

Specifically shaped wings and winglets ensure optimum engine size, reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions of harmful matters. In this way, when compared with other airplanes of its class, the C series reduces CO2 emissions by 20%.

Now, 10 years and two billion CHF invested later, the passengers from Bosnia and Herzegovina too have the possibility to enjoy the benefits of this airplane. SWISS Airlines is the first company in the world that introduced the C Series Bombardier in the summer of 2016 on short and medium lines within the European network. By the end of 2018, a total of 30 airliners of this type will be flying in the SWISS fleet“, added Vodl.
    The decision of Swiss Airlines, that is, the Lufthansa Group, to introduce this airliner on its route to Sarajevo is one more confirmation of the cost-effectiveness of this line, and of the quality of services that the Sarajevo International Airport offers to its business partners and passengers, as well as of the highly sophisticated equipment and modern infrastructure it has available.
    The fact that this airplane produces double less noise in comparison with similar types of airplanes is of special importance for the Sarajevo residents living in the vicinity of the airport. The arrival of this airport additionally confirms that the growth recorded by the Sarajevo International Airport over the past two years will continue into 2018.
