The Cutest Visitors – Children from the Biseri Kindergarten

The children from the senior group of the “Biseri (Pearls)” Kindergarten have visited the Sarajevo International Airport today. The children have come to see the Airport under the project implemented jointly by the Djeca Sarajeva Public Institution and the Sarajevo Television, and the even involves a series of TV programs for pre-school aged children. The programs are aimed to inform the children about various professions.
The Airport employees informed the kids about all activities performed at the airport, and explained to them all of the procedures that passengers need to go through when travelling by air. However, the most interesting thing for the children during the visit was the opportunity to see an airplane and tour it from the inside. Thanks to the employees of Qatar Airways, whose airplane the kids visited, they were also offered an opportunity to talk to the airplane crew.
The children were also allowed to take part in all work processes, including ticket sales, answering the phone, luggage check-ins and issuing of boarding tickets.
The BiH Border Police officers showed the children how to control passports and perform the X-ray inspections of passengers and luggage, how to detect forbidden objects, and specialist equipment was also shown to them.
In addition to the opportunity to see an airplane, the children were most rejoiced at the demonstration of drills involving official Belgian shepherd dogs, trained to detect explosive matters.
Although the kids could not take off for a faraway journey today, because they had to go back to the kindergarten for lunch and an afternoon nap, they left the airport with a lot of new knowledge and experiences, and they are looking forward to new such visits and real journeys.
